This project consisted of the design of a 40ft wide by 10 ft high by 97 ft long steel bridge that spanning a six lane thorough fare to connect two portions of the petroleum refinery. The bridge was designed to carry up to 32 product and process pipelines and two pedestrian walk ways 16'-8" above the street below. The bridge was designed as a fast-track project and consisted of drilled piers supporting abutments that consisted of concrete columns with CMU infill. The bridge was assembled on the ground and lifted into place over a seven hour period on a Sunday morning.
