The West Side Regional Command Center was designed as one of several community neighborhood police stations to provide coverage across the city. Thistwo story structure utilized structural steel framing and exposed architectural load-bearing precast concrete wall panels. The site required that segments of the exterior walls retain soil on one side. The precast concrete panels were designed to support structural members, resist the wind and seismic lateral forces and provide the architectural features desired by the Owner.
