The El Paso Museum of Art was originally design to be a high-rise building with a Greyhound Bus Station on the bottom level and hotel above. Funding fell short and only two levels were completed; however, the foundations and columns in place are capable of supporting multiple additional stories. Sometime later, the City of El Paso bought the building and transformed it into the Museum of Art.
