Renovation Building 505 – 2009 - for the US Army (Ft. Bliss, Texas) with Moore Nordell Kroeger Architects, Inc. The primary goal of the project was to upgrade mechanical systems of a one story concrete frame building and as such included the structural design of steel support frames and metal screen walls for two large roof mounted HVAC units and the structural design the repair of the concrete structural frame of the building damaged by long term water leaks and storm run- off.
Barracks Renovation Building 1001 – 2009 - for the US Army (Ft. Bliss, Texas) with Moore Nordell Kroeger Architects, Inc. The primary goal of the project was to upgrade mechanical systems of a three story concrete frame building with one story administrative wing and as such included the structural design of steel support frames for three large roof mounted HVAC units on the 3-story portion of the building, reinforcing the roof structure on the one story portion of the building to support three smaller HVAC units. In addition the project included the repair of the concrete structural frame of the building damaged by long term water leaks and storm run- off and the structural design of a three story exterior elevator chase composed of CMU bearing walls supported on concrete spread footings.
