SE Lobbyist Request for Qualifications

by Robert Navarro and Associates

Since the first of the year, the State Corporation Board of the Structural Engineers Association of Texas has approved moving forward with the Structural Engineering License efforts and has authorized the expenditure of funds for the purpose of retaining a Lobbyist. The lobbyist will assist in the enactment of legislation to add a separate license for Structural Engineering, to the State's Professional Engineers Board licensing regulations. RFQ's were sent out in March to Lobbyist/Firms requesting their responses at the end of March. Four of the Lobbyist/Firms responded and the Structural Engineering License Committee will interview the respondents in May or June with the selection of the Lobbyist/Firm to be completed by the end of June.
